The global medical device and healthcare innovation sector is at a turning point this 2026. In an environment shaped by commercial reconfiguration and highly dynamic global supply chains, quality standards, speed-to-market, and technical specialization dictate which companies remain competitive in the ecosystem. Within this context, CINDE‘s Life Sciences Forum 2026 established itself in its fifth edition as the premier meeting point for the industry in Latin America, gathering 200 companies from the MedTech ecosystem at the Costa Rica Convention Center.

The event focused on showcasing the immediate landscape of advanced manufacturing. In 2025, Costa Rica’s medical device exports surpassed the historic milestone of US $11 billion, accounting for 48% of the country’s total exported goods. With more than 100 multinationals operating locally—including 18 of the top 35 largest firms, such as Abbott, Medtronic, Boston Scientific, and Edwards Lifesciences—the forum addressed key topics including Artificial Intelligence (AI), advanced automation, and higher value-added processes.
