Backpacks for Students

Team from Accudyn helps pack backpacks for students across Erie County.
The United Way of Erie County recently coordinated a large event in which multiple organizations throughout the community all came together to pack backpacks for students for the upcoming school year. The event was hosted at Zurn Industries, where 200 volunteers filled 1,500 backpacks for students in need at Community Schools across Erie County.
Accudyn Products provided a team of ten employees who participated in this event. Our (Accudyn) team put together backpacks for students from Diehl Elementary School and wrote words of encouragement on cards and bookmarks for each student. This was a wonderful opportunity for our employees to get involved in the community and give back. The United Way of Erie County encourages those who are wishing to participate to sponsor a child for $20 through their backpack program.
Accudyn has been doing something very similar for our own employees’ children. Each year, Accudyn provides backpacks filled with school supplies to each of our employees’ children entering Kindergarten through 12th grade. We value the importance of a every child’s education and want to help make the transition back to school as stress-free as possible for both the parents and students. Our hope is that this small gesture will make this transition a little easier for all!
We wish all students the best of luck and hope they have a very successful school year!
